Privacy notice for founding-contributor applications

What this notice covers

This notice covers the information you submit when applying for founding access to Human Current. The Human Current project is led by Lydía Kims and Rúnar Óskarsson. It does not cover a future conversation-publication service, which will have a separate and more detailed notice before it opens.

What we collect and why

We collect your name, email address, preferred contribution mode, topic interests and any optional note you provide. We use this information only to evaluate interest in the founding alpha, plan relevant cohorts, contact you about access and improve the early product.

This application does not ask for an AI conversation and does not give Human Current permission to publish one. Please do not include private conversation text, secrets or sensitive information in the optional note.

Storage, sharing and retention

Application data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database in Frankfurt, Germany, and processed by service providers needed to operate the site. We do not sell application data. We keep it for up to 12 months after submission, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we must retain limited records for a legal or security reason.

Site measurement

We use limited first-party measurement to understand page visits, calls to action, application starts and completed applications. The site records a randomly generated session value as a one-way hash, the page path, referring website domain and campaign labels included in links. It does not use an advertising identifier, cross-site tracking pixel or third-party analytics cookie, and it honours a browser's Do Not Track setting.

These aggregate measurements help us compare outreach and improve the alpha experience. Raw measurement events are retained for no longer than 90 days. We do not sell them or use them to build advertising profiles.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete your application, or withdraw from founding-access contact. Email privacy@humancurrent.ai. Withdrawing does not affect processing that already occurred before your request.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, we will update the effective date and use the contact information you supplied when notice is appropriate.
